Established in 2000, Zea Mays Printmaking in Northampton, Massachusetts is dedicated to research, practice and dissemination of safe printmaking. Renown for green printmaking practices, we offer studio access, workshops, residencies, internships, mentorships and contract printing services to an international community of artists.
Demonstrating the high quality and creative possibilities of original prints made with health consciousness and sustainability is at the core of our mission. The on-site Sanford Gallery and Flat File Project showcase the work of over 100 member artists and is utilized by curators and collectors for exhibitions and acquisitions.
Zea Mays Printmaking will feature original artists’ books and print portfolios by selected members of our printmaking community, including: Anne Beresford, Annie Bissett, Lyell Castonguay, Liz Chalfin, Sally Clegg and Kayla Biggs, Jennifer Gover, Anita S. Hunt, Tekla McInerney, Kevin Pomerleau, Erika Radich, Richard Turnbull, Nanette Vonnegut, Esther S. White, Angela Zammarelli.
